The coffee snob from Seattle
I’m originally from Seattle and my second job as a teenager was as a barista for Starbucks. I never drank much coffee when I worked there but fast forward a few years when I went back to school and was working almost full time, coffee kept me going. Living in the land of coffee shops, I didn’t realize just how much of a coffee snob I was until we relocated to central New York. As our time in New York has unfolded, we’ve found some delightful coffee shops in tiny towns around us, run by really inspiring people.
My partner Chris and I often day dream about different businesses we’d like to own, a coffee shop being one of the ideas we’ve tossed around. This inspired me to create a concept website for a coffee shop business. I chose the name adagio coffee for my pretend coffee shop because it means ‘at a slow tempo’ which is the energy I would want at my shop. A place for people to slow down, spend time, and enjoy being in the present moment with their favorite drink.
Check out the website for yourself here, password coffee. Would you visit this coffee shop? It sure seems inviting to me.
